Biography
Dr. Barry Friedberg now lives in Southern CA with an office based anaesthesia private practice. He is the founder & president of non-profit Goldilocks Anaesthesia Foundation, dedicated to making brain monitoring a standard of care. anaesthesiologist, was recently recognized as a 2017 Leading Physician of the World. In 1997, Friedberg began using the brain monitor. He was the first Orange County, CA, anaesthesiologist to routinely measure Propofol effect on the brain. The BIS number generated from the patients' foreheads allow them to control their anesthetic dose so neither too much, nor too little drug can be given, hence the term Goldilocks anaesthesia.
